Behind Enemy Lines: Crystal Palace

Scannell: One to watch?

In this edition of “Behind Enemy Lines” we visit the Crystal Palace supporters site Holmesdale.net and speak to Phil O’Sophical.

You had a great result against Ipswich on Tuesday do you think this will kick start your season after picking up a point in your first two games?

Yes, Warnock has done well in the transfer market with very limited funds. Darren Ambrose is already making an impact and Freddie Sears looks as though he will provide the first real out and out sharp shooter we’ve had since Andy Johnson left

What do you expect from the Championship this season, where do you think you’ll finish?

4th (provided we pick up no serious injuries)

Do you expect any one of your players to be a real star in the division this year?

Victor Moses if he plays to his potential and stays. If he wants to be he can be the Christian Ronaldo of the Championship (although not quite as quick)

Is there anyone else we should look out for on Saturday that we may not know about?

Sean Scannell, usually a sub. On the verge of being a very good midfielder/winger. Will probably make an impact as the season progresses.

Is there any side in the Championship you REALLY want to beat?

Bristol City

What do you know about NUFC?

We’ve played NUFC quite a few times in my many years watching Palace and the size of your away support has always been very impressive.

Where do you think NUFC will finish?

The Championship is a notoriously difficult league to get out of. The difference between success and failure is paper thin. Up until Boxing Day last year Palace were on target for a play-off place. We lost three players for various reasons and our second half results were worse than Charlton’s who finished bottom. You need a big, tough squad and consistent results. Everyone will want to beat NUFC this season and you’ll find it tough. Prediction – NUFC to finish 5th.

Do you have any Team News?

We’re putting out 11 players and 7 subs

Finally a score prediction?

We usually do well against Newcastle at Selhurst. 2-0 to Palace

Thanks very much to Phil and all the other lad’s who answered the questions, you can see the alternative answers on our forum by clicking here
