We chose Alexei’s answers, mainly because we could simply copy and paste it as he seems to know how to spell..aswell as that, he must remember the day Alan Shearer buried Leicester single handedly in a 4-3 win, anyone else…here’s what he had to say;
First of all, how’s Pearson doing, what do you think of the set up?
Pearson was appointed by Mandaric after several chaotic managerial episodes, with Pearson’s predecessor, Holloway, seeing us demoted to League One for the first time in club history. It was quite a blow, but Pearson, who was more like an unwritten page when he came in and facing some traditional skepticism, won everyone over by sorting out the deadwood (a plague that had lasted for several seasons since we last played the Premier League), establishing a good atmosphere, a positive, professional approach to football and a willingness to work on something longer-lasting. He’s gotten out the best out of (almost) everyone and that’s seen us winning League One rather convincingly. With Leicester not being able to dish out enormous transfer fees, Pearson and his staff have done a really good job at bargain-hunting so far.
You’re sitting in 7th place, is that where you expected, are you happy with the start to the campaign?
Unbeaten in four is quite an achievement so far. I was fairly optimistic at the beginning of this season, but I’d never have thought we’d get a point each at Portman Road and against the Blades away. Looks like the enthusiasm from last season is still evident and keeping the players motivated to a large extent. We’ve got a really solid back four and an established midfield that can create chances. Provided everyone gets back to fitness, we’ve got a really good season ahead of us.
Do you expect one of your players to be a real star this year?
I hope Fryatt can finally live up to the expectations and compensate for his bad Championship scoring record. Last season’s League One adventure should’ve probably done him some good. Scored twice in the league already, looking sharper than before.
Where about do you think you’ll finish this season?
Wishful thinking wants a top six finish, realistically, with such a depth in squad, ending up as one of the ten best teams in the Championship is a doable task. I’ve just had it with floating in mid-table and/or flirting with relegation, really.
Is there anyone we should look out for on Monday night?
Either Wellens, Gallagher or Kermorgant (provided he’s fit enough to play). Wellens is a great source of inspiration in midfield (alongside Oakley), recently acquired Gallagher I can see going on the scoring sheet soon and Kermorgant, who showed some class against Preston, is some kind of secret weapon for free-kick situations.
Do you think we represent your biggest test so far?
Besides the other two fellow relegated teams, Middlesbrough and West Brom, yes.
What do you know about NUFC?
Long-time Premiership force for more than a decade; gave a good show in the 90ies under Keegan and Robson; slow, but steady decline in the past few years. Have won nothing for several decades, somewhat deluded fans and a pretty, historic stadium. And we don’t like Alan Shearer.
Where do you think we’ll finish?
Top 6, but more likely a contender for automatic promotion.
Any team news?
Strikers Waghorn and Howard are both out for another couple of weeks with hamstring injuries.
Finally a score prediction?
I’d really love to see us pull a surprise and win at St. James, but a draw I’d be more than happy with. If you lot score early, yes, it’s probably going to be difficult. But seeing that we have the fighting spirit needed, don’t underestimate Leicester City 2009/2010.
Thanks very much to Alexei and FoxesTalk, why not visit their forum and say hello here…

6:47 PMThe lad lets himself down with the ‘deluded’ bollocks to be honest, up till then he seemed quite reasonable. Hope we stuff them.

7:15 PMAnother supporter who has an obvious lack of understanding of our supporters. Obviously journo based. They look a decent side, but if we play as well as we have in the first two home games we should collect the points. I’m expecting some incoming movement in the transfer market between now and Tuesday. Hopefully we can srengthen in a few areas. Especially the left side of defence and up front.

8:48 AMI agree, a lot of people have the perception that we, as a whole are deluded, but we, like all clubs have a section of fan’s that expect to win something, most of us just wish we would win something, that makes us no different from any other fan in the world, this deluded bollocks is just a buzzword to be used by fans of clubs that simply want to be us hehe.

9:22 AMFirst of all he said ’somewhat’ deluded secondly you may not like the view but you say yourself that it’s ‘journo based’ so you shouldn’t be surprised if that’s the view opposing fans have of you – he answered the question honestly.
The other point worth considering is the vast majority on that forum, me excluded are too young to remember you winning anything, from an achievement perspective they see you as no different to Bolton.
So your anger is off the mark. Anyway here’s to a good game, there’s been some crackers between us over the years let’s hope we give attending fans and the viewing public a tasty treat to remember.
