The Yanks Have Landed

NUFCSA

News filtering through Sky and other media sources is that of the American consortium arriving in London to discuss details of a possible takeover.

The Ronny Gill have quoted one of their sources as follows;

“The Americans are pushing like hell to get a deal through.

“They arrived in London late yesterday and will speak to Seymour Pierce once again.

“It’s at a critical stage and they don’t want to say too much.

“Obviously with non-disclosure agreements signed it’s difficult for them. And it is a painfully slow process.”

There’s no concrete info at the moment so we’ll take it like the rest of the speculation over our potential takeovers, firmly with a pinch of salt!

Imo, I would love the Yanks to come in this weekend & buy Ashley out, then appoint Shearer as Manager & maybe another Toon legend as chairman, someone who knows the club inside out, that way we’ll be TOON TOON all the way (Shame Sir Bob isn’t still with us, he’d make a fantastic Chairman of the TOON)!!!

I think it’s just another smoke screen. Fat boy Ashley and Derek “Billy Dainty” Lambias are set on administration after they’ve sold all the so called stars off and lined their pockets. Everton buy Distin and Moyes says he’s close to signing another center half..that wouldn’t be Steven “I don’t want to leave the club” Taylor by any chance? Our local press states that the would be potential buyers from America would appoint Shearer as manager. How the hell do they know that? Hey if it comes off then great but I wouldn’t put my money on it.
I have to agree with Pete’s final comment. Sir Bobby, would have been a great chairman. You just have to look at the respect paid to the man from all around the world. Tip top lad..RIP Bobby…
