NUFC 0 Bristol City 0 – Video
I don’t think Ashley ever had any serious intention of selling NUFC without at least breaking even on his investment, bottom line …he is a business man and a successful one at that.
He has gotten rid of quite a few of the high earners on your books, bought in no-one to restrenghten the squad, has the parachute payments, incoming transfer money, TV and media rights, no manager to pay,(Hughton is on a huge win bonus) less background staff, season ticket revenue and huge gates,i t’s rolling in for him and he is laughing at you lot.
He has no interest in FANS, it’s all a balance sheet for him and currently he appears to be in the red, but not by much!
The wafer thin squad are doing well, does he think this will be the way the whole season will go? And sell the club on if you get promotion? Wait till a few injuries are incurred by a few key players and a few defeats follow on. Will he panic buy in a few months time,I dont think so myself.
I think he is holding off hoping that a sparse squad will keep the current form up, and then look for serious buyers, and then, recoup his initial investment. Best way to hurt him would be to boycott the games etc, but that won’t happen as you love your club too much and will continue in droves especially if you keep winning to support them and to further push his balance sheet back into the black.

10:46 AMHas anyone done the math on Ashleys investment.
For the last couple of years Newcastle has turned over much more than the wage bill and spent millions less than the incomimg sale revenues from players being sold. What has happened to the considerable balance?
We have heard in the past that NUFC owe nothing and are a debt free club but the fiasco over the sale of the club heightens suspicion that Mr Ashley has not paid the debts off as previously stated. Why the cloak and dagger over the books?
On the face of it, Mr Ashley appears to have generated considerable amounts of revenue from NUFC, becuase the numbers simply do not add up.
Look at the revenue over last season and include the two transfer windows and Mr Ashley has generated a substantial surplus of cash and yet we cannot afford to buy much needed players. I for one do not believe Mr Ashley has any other intention of anything else but to make money out of the club during his ownership and when he finally sells up.
Finally, Mr Ashleys so called minimum price of £100m can no longer be sustainable bearing in mind the recent sale of playing assets, so the stumbling block to a sale must be the clubs debts. These are the same debts he is supposed to have paid off.
It is inexplicable that as league leaders, well placed to push on, that Ashley has not strengthened our playing staff, which would almost guarantee sucess this season. He is either a very very stupid and ignorant man or very very clever one in my opinion. The fans will make their own judgement in the final analysis.
