Behind Enemy Lines: Ipswich

IPswich

This week’s Behind Enemy Line’s speak to the lads at TWTD.co.uk, unofficial Ipswich Town FC.

What’s your opinion on Roy Keane, has the team gelled under his leadership?
Team hasn’t gelled yet, but we could have 7 or 8 play today that didn’t last season. Signs over last couple of games have been more encouraging esp down the right and with Leadbitter. Keane is basically trying from scratch with one or two from last season’s squad, so it’ll take time and the majority are willing to give him it. Don’t listen to the vocal minority. His recent comments in the press are about building a team and building a club, so he’s not thinking it’s overnight results despite his pre-season thoughts.

You’re sitting in 2nd off bottom without a win, what need’s to happen to improve?
Conceding three goals to Doncaster tells its own story. We’ve conceded an inordinate amount of goals from 25yds thus far, but also like to gift opposition a couple every game in case they can’t shoot.

Do you expect one of your players to be a real star this year?
Grant Leadbitter – no question.

Where about do you think you’ll finish this season?
Play-offs or just outside.

Is there anyone we should look out for on Saturday?
You can wave to me, if you like.

Do you think we represent your biggest test so far?
West Brom away takes that mantle, I’m afraid.

What do you know about NUFC?
They were pretty good when Sir Bob was in charge but they sacked him, and haven’t done as well since.

Any team news?
Butcher’s back, Wark’s doubtful, Brazil’s definitely out.

Would you join is in singing “Keano, he waxks his dog you know” today?
I’m scared of him, so “no”.

Finally a score prediction?
3-3

Many thanks to SWGF from TWTD
