I’m one of ones on this board who doesnt take promotion for granted and have been working to set targets, so far I have us safe from relegation, with the next target being 70 points and a probable play-off spot.
Anyway, my point is this, we are in the middle of a dip in result (not so much form, as we aint been playing brilliantly this season anyway) and some people are doubting whether we are going up or not. Probably the same ones who had us as definate Champions and this has got me thinking about possible scenarios at the end of the season.

The senarios are basically if we go up or not, but also this would reflect on Ashleys future at the club.

If we go up, the value of the club and the income generated would be a boost to the fat one but if we don’t go up then we will pretty much stay at the same price but players will have to be sold to sustain the wages etc.

Now if given a choice, where promotion meant Ashley stayed, because he would get greedy with the clubs value etc or asked such a high price against us not going up and selling some of the ‘better players’ with him then cutting his losses and leaving or selling up for a lower price.

Choice A promotion and ashley staying…

Choice B staying in the fizzy pop and him leaving…

It may come to this but as yet im not panicking.
