Hall Fitz The Bill

So who is Fitz Hall? Actor or Footballer, well as of now, he is a QPR player, as a 12 year old, Fitz was starring alongside Bruce Willis in the Fifth Elelment…OK, he wasn’t exactly playing a starring role, and only appeared at the beginning of the film, we can only assume, he was better at the beautiful game than he was at being a child actor.

Fitz began his “real”career as a West Ham youth player, starting out at the same time as the likes of  Konchesky and Zamora at 15 he was told he was shite and was promptly released, a short stint at Barnet followed through family contacts and then off to non-league Chesham…this is is where opportunity knocks…Chesham manager at the time, Bob Dowie was related to Oldham manager Iain Dowie, 30 grand later Iain took hall under his wing (no bungs involved, doesn’t happen in football)

Making his debut in April 2002 and scoring the winner against Stoke City. The following season really saw Hall progress and end up being in the PFA Team of the Year. Oldham went tit’s up due to the old cash flow problems and Hall was shipped out to Premiership side Southampton for £250,000. Hall never made the grade having only a handful of first team games.

Iain Dowie, now at Palace, re-signed Hall in 2004 and he immediately went into the team, producing good form and in August 2005, Hall was appointed team captain of Palace, replacing Michael Hughes following the club’s relegation back to the Championship.  Captaincy didn’t suit Hall and he was soon stripped of his armband…

Hall moved from Palace to Wigan Athletic for an undisclosed fee on 26 June 20066.  Palace boss Peter Taylor cited a £3m get-out clause in Hall’s contract as the reason for the transfer…that can be taken any way you want, but in January 2008,  Championship side Queens Park Rangers signed Hall on a four and a half year contract, after Rangers paid an undisclosed fee. Hall scored his first goal for Queens Park Rangers on the first game of 2008–09 season against Barnsley, scoring his second two minutes later, before having a penalty saved for a hat-trick.

So there you go, information taken from various online sources and some recollections of previous years from myself – the worry for me now, is the fact that we have Williamson, and we are in pole position to sign Hall if you believe what you read in the media, so how does that work? Are we simply covering our arses or is this injury to Taylor another hidden agenda… I know, shut up Ken, but, Taylor and Colo…both on good wages, it makes you wonder?

Please leave comments, Im sick of writing and if there’s any mistakes, I’ve been drinking too..howay the lads, wahay!
